Welcome to my set of weekly-updated photos. It’s a photoblog, site, gallery like so many others on the web. This one is a compilation of my pictures taken everywhere: indoors and outdoors, around the house as well as around the globe.
Thank you for dropping by and I hope you enjoy viewing them.
These pictures have been taken with two different cameras. The first camera is a Canon Powershot A80: well-worn, slightly-damaged, and broken-in, but still working despite being taken to the beach and being crashed into a tree. The second is a Nikon D70s, which receives bucket-loads more care, trust me. See if you can spot the difference — in the pictures, that is — because I can’t.
I have left out the cameras’ details (aperture, shutter time, focal length and the like) for a few reasons. Although these facts can be interesting, in general I find them distracting; I usually care more about a great shot than its technical details. Secondly, I would struggle to recover and add all information (yes, I’m lazy!), as none of the imaging has been automated ever and most camera details have been lost.
There is no comment form at the moment, and I doubt there will be one any time soon. This site only uses a few pages to display the images, which I put together myself, for fun. Adding a comment form and moderating system or application would stretch the word ‘fun’ too far to my liking.
So for now, the only way to contact me for comments or questions is by sending an email to tom AT tomwinckels DOT net. Switch to a blogging tool? Maybe one day.
The previous set of pictures, ones solely taken with a mobile phone, has been moved. It can be found at the mobile imagery section.
